Today is your day. It's officially 'Wine O'Clock' for Huskies.

Calling all wine drinkers, back by popular demand, we have scheduled a return to The Vineyard at Hillyland. Having had to cancel our last attempt due to the pandemic shut down, we are excited to be returning to a gem in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut. 

Don't miss this exclusive wine experience at an alumni owned vineyard, featuring hand crafted wines by Doug Stearns ’82 (CAHNR), ’95 LAW and his wife Geri at their beautiful country vineyard.

Enjoy a Saturday evening outside under the stars listening to live music, sipping some classic and creative wines, and nibbling on some fine crafted culinary delights. 

This exclusive and private evening is only for UConn Nation. If you are an alum, fan, supporter, parent or family member who wants to relax, unwind, and enjoy nothing but an assortment of sophisticated flavors including soft, tannic, crisp and delectable wines, this event is for you! 




Costs & Optional Purchases:

$20 per person entrance fee - includes food, access to live music and one (1) branded UConn Alumni branded corkscrew.

Catering will be provided by Brasato Italian Catering. Food Options will include (1 choice of pasta, 2 other items):

  • Pasta:
    • Gnocchi with Sweet Itallian Sausage
    • Shells with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce (V)
  • Pea & Mozzarella Arancini (V)
  • Fried Mozzarella (V)
  • Meatballs with Asiago Polenta
  • Burrata with Prosciutto (GF)
  • Crispy Brussels (V)

(First 60 registrants will be guaranteed a UConn Alumni Corckscrew)

Additional purchase options:

You will have the option to buy glasses of wine or bottles of wine for your entire party during registration.

Pre-purchased wines by the glass and bottles are discounted by UConn Alumni. All on-site purchases will reflect standard Hillyland prices. (Glass - $7 per, bottles - $17-18.)

- Advanced purchase of wine is not required. Additional purchase of wine on the day of from Hillyland is possible directly from the Hillyland staff

* Your additional wine purchase is redeemable for any red or white wine available while supplies lasts.
* To consume alcoholic beverages, you must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid ID with you at this event. Verified by Hillyland Staff.
