Increasing heat, extreme weather, rising sea levels. Global temperatures year over year are rising at an alarming rate causing irreversible damage to the planet that will affect humans all around the world for years to come. So why are we hearing so much about climate change and why is it so important to discuss? To get these answers, join UConn Alumni for a panel discussion all about this hot topic.

During this event you will hear from UConn Faculty on the science of climate, why it is so urgent that we make changes, and what is being done to help. They will also be discussing what UConn is doing to support the fight against climate change.  At the end there will be a short Q&A with our panel to answer your most important questions.

What you will learn during this session:

  • Climate Science- what is it and why it is so urgent?
  • Mitigation- How do we solve the problem?
  • Adaption- What policies are being implemented to sustain the climate nationally and in your community?
  • How is UConn playing their part and what you can do to help?
