• Finding a Career in Sport: This session will primarily focus on how recent college graduates can engage in the job search within the sport industry. Alumni will share the varied paths to discovering a career in the sport industry as to allow students to expand their idea of becoming a professional in the field.
  • Sport in Education & the Community: This session will primarily focus on opportunities to positively impact communities and to educate through sport. It will challenge students to think about the avenues available for them to do this, with the hope that students walk away with a deeper understanding that the industry goes beyond the physical portion of sport and be able to demonstrate how sport plays a larger role in social issues.
  • Broadcasting & Journalism in Sport: This session will primarily focus the role of broadcasting and journalism in the sport industry as well as current trends in the industry. Alumni will share personal stories regarding their entry into broadcasting and journalism, as well as their career path.
  • Women Working in Sport: This session will primarily focus on the unique challenges and rewards that women working in sport may face. Alumni will share their personal experiences as a professional working in the sport industry.
     
  • Navigating the Field: This session will primarily focus on utilizing your University of Connecticut degree, experience, and network to be successful in your professional goals. Information can include tips for engaging with fellow alumni, the benefits of professional development, and what being a Husky means post-graduation.
     
  • From Graduation to Graduate School: This session will focus on the primary differences stemming from the transition from being an undergraduate student to a graduate student. Speakers will share their personal stories about their decision to attend graduate school, the benefits of pursuing a graduate degree, the challenges associated with graduate school and the proper strategies to overcome them.
  • Operations & Event Management: This session will primarily focus primarily on the role of operations and event management in the sport industry as well as current trends in the industry.  Alumni will share personal stories regarding their entry into operations and event management, as well as their career path.
