January is UConn Alumni career month! The UConn Los Angeles Alumni Network invites alumni, friends and family to an exclusive workshop featuring UConn Alumni's preferred resource for Career & Management Consulting, Protem Partners.
Network with fellow alumni and friends and gain insights to better assist you in your personal and professional life as we tackle the topic of enhancing your own work-life balance. Staff from UConn will be in town as well to update folks on the happenings at UConn.
Workshop
For the foreseeable future, clean and universal boundaries between our professional and private time suggested by “work-life balance” ideals are unlikely, mainly because of our reliance on electronic forms of communication. Still, there is more we can do as leaders and individual contributors to encourage and even protect ourselves from the seemingly endless interruptions that cause incremental stress than most people realize.
Attending this UConn Alumni workshop will provide you:
- Group/team instruments and resources to help manage volume, frequency and efficiency of electronic communication.
- Individual methods of organizing and structuring mobile, laptop/desktop, and app settings to minimize interruption and intrusion.
- Tools you can use to track and reallocate your time spent on subsets of electronic tasks
