Bring the kids for a family-friendly ice cream social with costumed Jonathan! Jonathan will mingle with families and be available for spirited photographs in our special photo booth. Our ice cream sundae bar will feature Dairy Bar flavors and fun toppings, and we’ll also have a nondairy sorbet option and fruit available. $10 for adults (13+) and $5 for children (12 and younger).
After meeting Jonathan, you can opt to continue the fun by heading to the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts for a matinee performance of The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon. Based on the adored book series by Crockett Johnson, Enchantment Theatre Company presents an out-of-this-world imaginative experience. Resourceful and brave, Harold creates the world he wants to explore, using nothing more than a big purple crayon. The whole family will enjoy life-size puppets, pantomime, dance, magic, and original music. Recommended for ages 4-10. Tickets are available for purchase separately via the Jorgensen website. Use promo code AlumFun23 for discounted pricing of $22/adults and $20/children.
Free parking is available at the Alumni Center. Free parking is also available in the North Garage starting at 1 p.m. through the duration of the performance.
