January is UConn Alumni career month! Join alumni, friends and family in Hartford for an exclusive panel discussion at the UConn Hartford Graduate Business Learning Center on January 31st.

Careers are no longer linear, that much is clear. Many of us went to UConn with clear expectations and road maps as to what we expected to do with our lives and careers. Well, somewhere along the way we took a turn or two and have found ourselves either in a career path we didn't expect, or perhaps built a career out of ingenuity and creativity.

Whether you have found yourself in the career path you intended when you attended UConn, or you have navigated into unexpected fields, or even invented your own career, we can all agree, there is room for growth and for helping our careers get to the next level.

Join this all-star panel of individuals, moderated by Jim Lowe, Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director of UConn's Center for Career Development featuring the President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun, Ray Pineault '88 CLAS; Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of ProPark America, David Schmid '92 ENG; and President & Founder of Freeman Companies, Rohan Freeeman '95 ENG for an evening discussion on career trajectory, creativity and entrepreneurship, career successes and setbacks as well as thoughts on the hiring front in the Hartford and Connecticut markets.

In addition to the panel discussion, recruiters and human resources representatives will be on hand to speak to interested alumni about the hiring process and opportunities within their respective companies.
