In the United States, food waste is estimated at 30-40% of
food produced. While food is lost throughout the process from production to
consumption, much of this loss happens at the retail and consumer levels. At
the same time, 42 million Americans are food insecure—they don’t know where
their next meal will be coming from. Join the conversation and hear how this
level of food waste impacts food security, resource conservation, climate
change and more. Learn about both local and global efforts to reduce food waste
and meet waste reduction goals.
