Please join UConn's School of Fine Arts and Hartford Fashion Week for a panel, discussing the history, identity and culture around dress and clothing.
Culture & Community through Attire: In a global market of fast fashion, our panelists
will discuss the ways in which individuals can reject mass
consumption and choose adornment to reflect personhood, champion
diversity, and celebrate culture. In a tense political climate, personal
fashion can be used to express statements, communicate ideas, and cultivate
dialogue that can encourage community engagement and progress.
